What’s Actually Worth It for Travel
Tools, apps, and gear we use to make travel calmer, simpler, and less stressful.
We don’t try to optimize travel perfectly.
We try to make it easier.
These are the tools we actually use or genuinely recommend because they reduce friction — not because they’re trending or “must-haves.”

Luggage and Bags
Osprey Metron 24L Commuter Bike Backpack
These bags are guaranteed for life, and I’ve had mine for over 10 years without a problem. It stores my computer, has a separate pocket if needed for hiking shoes, and has a bungee to hold my sunhat. It’s my personal item on the airplane, and a hiking backpack when I’m out and about.
Osprey Farpoint Fairview 36L Wheeled Travel Pack
This is my carry on luggage to go in the overhead bin. It is small enough to use as a carry on in Europe, but holds everything I need. It also has a dedicated laptop pocket, and has wheels and a handle for airports, plus can double as a backpack for cobbled streets or stairs.
Packing and Organization
Tripped Large Gear Compression Packing Cubes
I love, love, love this brand, and these are like drawers for your carry on. Maximum organization.
Tripped Travel Gear Hanging Travel Toiletry Bag
This is great because it keeps the bathroom organized, and hanging it frees up sometimes non existent counter space
Acer Universal Travel Plug Adapter – International Power Adapter with 5 USB Ports
These adapters work well in any part of the world, and the extra adapter ports help to maximize the only outlet in an old hotel
SuperBee Dentos Toothpaste Tablets, 150 Tabs
These are a great back up if you run out of toothpaste, or if you want to carry other liquids and not worry about it.
Wine Bottle Travel Protector Bags, 10 Pack Inflatable
So, we love bringing back new bevies to try from Mexico or Europe. These are compact to bring with you, but protect the bottle for travel.
Airport Comfort
Soundcore Sport X20 Earbuds
These are what we use for flights and busy airports when you want quiet and focus without fuss.
KIDEE Neck Fan, Neck Fans Portable Rechargeable
These are great, especially in hot locations, or when you’re a lady of a certain age…..ahem……like I am.
